Kim Delaney is an American actress best known for her role as the role of Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she garnered an Emmy Award. Her most well-known role is her role in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney was the sole daughter of a United Auto Workers executive and his wife, a household worker. Her childhood was spent in a family that included four brothers. She envisioned becoming a court reporter during childhood but started modelling while at high school, eventually earning commercials when she moved into New York. In 1981, she starred as a naive teen in All My Children. Delaney is well-known as an actress, appearing featured in a variety of television shows, and dramas. Personally, her professional one has nt been a success and has not been happy. She has also experienced two failed marriages, and has struggled with addiction issues. The actress lost custody of her son in 2005.
